Australia-Goat exports still steady.

AUSTRALIA.

GOAT EXPORTS.

Western Exporters in Charleville western Queensland, are still processing 12,000 goat per week, despite the massive drop in prices.

The company sys that the prices have dropped from AU$190c/kg to AU$155c/kg, in recent weeks, but the numbers are still coming in.

Neil Duncan, who runs the company claims there are still tens of thousands of goats available, despite the drop in prices there is still demand from South East Asia for his product.

The goat industry has really blossomed in the last 12 years, both in the live exports and the carcass trade for export. There is also a healthy local market especially among the Lebanese and Greek butchers in Sydney and Melbourne.
