GOAT PRICES FALL.

The global downturn has caused a drop in the goat prices in Queensland, from the August prices of AU$280c/kg to last week 150c/kg.

Demand has fallen off in the Caribbean as well as South East Asia for goat meat, while there is still a good demand for live breeding stock.

The goat industry has developed into a major meat trade in the last 10 years, according to Meat Livestock Australia.
