EVERY time the hammer fell at the Withers family’s autumn Donna Valley Limousin sale they were rewarded for more than 20 years of breeding.

Despite the much talked about financial crisis and a looming recession, a mix of repeat and new buyers recorded a top price of $14,000.

Thursday’s on-property auction at Holbrook was testament to a long-term breeding program and buyers were looking for bulls with excellent commercial traits.

The 70 impeccably-bred Limousin bulls sold in a 100 per cent clearance by Albury auctioneers, Michael Glasser, Elders, and Kevin Norris, Landmark.
