MCDONALDS CORP EXPANDING.

Australia is one of the few countries outside China, where McDonalds have major expansion plans and they are going to increase their outlets to over 800, from the current 767.

This comes one week after Starbucks, announced that they are going to close all but 23 of their 84 Australian outlets .

Australia has seen McDonalds make many changes in recent years, with more varied and health conscious menus and drastic cost cutting.

The demise of Starbucks, have seen a vast increase in the sale of coffee, tea and muffins in the economic downturn as people are now watching what they spend.
