Australia-More cattle for Northern Territory.

AUSTRALIA.

MORE CATTLE FOR NORTHERN TERRITORY.

There are 250 cattle stations (Farms) in the Northern Territory of Australia, running over 2 million head of cattle.

There could be an additional 200,000 breeding cows, run on the same area with no effort according to a government report published recently.

With correct strip grazing and minimum fencing, along with drilling for more water bores, the numbers could be increased by 50% to 3 million head.

The lucrative new market in Indonesia, for the lean Brahman and Santa cross cattle, is causing farmers to increase the cattle herd and they are receiving full government support.

The Nelore and Zebu cattle from Brazil, are also perfect for this same market, if Australia doesn’t keep up with the demand, they will have to face sharing the market.
