Australia-New beef label.
AUSTRALIA-TASMANIA BEEF.
A new industry standard for grass-fed beef is being developed for farmers.
The Cattle Council says this will allow beef raised on pastures to be classified differently from those raised on grain.
President Greg Brown says cattle companies will need to show they meet the standards, before putting a grass-fed label on their product.
"We want to identify the best of this, it will be grass fed, it will have no antibiotics, it will have no HEPs, it will have no confinement, no grain and it will have flavour."
