AUSTRALIA-PIG AND LAMB SLAUGHTER NUMBERS DOWN.

The number of sheep kills have declined significantly, compared to the same time last year.

The latest monthly figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics on livestock slaughter show that, while cattle and lamb kills remain steady, sheep numbers are down 12 per cent.

Pig slaughters have also declined, down 13 per cent on the same time last year.
