POTATO DISEASE.

The dreaded nematode disease, has been found in potato paddock in Victoria that has sent alarm bell ringing across the state.

The disease attacks the root of the potato, and this could affect farmers exporting potato’s from out of the state unless the disease can be controlled.

The disease can damage up to 80% of the harvest, and there are 80,000 tons of eating potato’s grown in the area each year.

The Victorian Potato Growers Board, issued a statement saying that inter state trade has not been effected at this moment
