Australia-Poultry takeover.
AUSTRALIA.
POULTRY CHANGES.
Inghams Poultry, have enjoyed dominance of the Australian poultry market for many years, controlling 30% of market share.
There is now a proposed takeover of the Bartter/Steggles poultry group, the countries second largest processors by Baiada Chickens, that will in fact give the new merged company 35 % of market share.
The poultry industry in Australia is valued at close to US$2 billion a year. The poultry trade is still controlled by family companies as opposed to multi nationals.
