Australian Cattle Prices to Peak Next Month, Group Forecasts

Cattle prices in Australia, the world's second-largest beef exporter, will peak next month, industry group Meat & Livestock Australia said.

The nation's benchmark Eastern Young Cattle Indicator, which measures the price of young cattle sold at auctions in the country's east, rose 0.1 percent to A$3.5275 ($3.17) a kilogram yesterday. Prices are up 13 percent this year.
