Bluetongue Control Zones merged as case found in Peterborough

DEFRA has merged the Bluetongue Control Zone in Peterborough with the Control Zone covering East Anglia, Kent and East Sussex to create a single zone in the east of England.

This follows the discovery of a new case of bluetongue in Cambridgeshire. The Protection Zone remains unchanged.

The Department has also published the first epidemiology report into the bluetongue outbreak, based on the situation up to October 19.
