The work is almost completed on the giant new oil platform, in the bay of Angra dos Reis, just off the coast of Rio Janeiro and its almost ready to head out to sea.

Brazil is making headlines all over the world for the massive oil fields that have been found just off the coast.

One field known as Tupi is said to hold 8 billion barrels, these is another field beside it said to hold 33 billion barrels.

Some experts believe that the recent new finds could in fact be one continuous area.

More than 4,000 people were involved in building the new floating platform,Inside the platform there is a network of pipes, cranes, working area and helicopter pad and accommodation for a 200 staff. The whole thing weighs 48,000 tons. The platform is capable of pumping 180,000 barrels of oil a day.

With the oil comes the new found wealth and just how all the money should be managed.

By 2015 the oil production of Brazil is going to be 4.1 million barrels per day based on present resources in the fields already discovered.

Experts believe they have only touched the tip of the iceberg and that more oil is lying under the ocean.

Brazil in the world leader in bio fuels derived from sugar cane, this means that all the new found oil wealth will be available for export.

The fact that 30 years ago Brazil was bankrupt and today need advise in how to protect its enormous wealth, is an amazing success story.
