CUBA, VENEZUELA AND BOLIVIA
$100 MILLION FARM FUND.
President Hugo Chavez announced a new farm fund has been put into place valued initially at US$100 million, to assist farming in Cuba and Bolivia which are the two poorest nations in Latin America. The President will be seeking expertise from Argentina and Brazil in beef production and arable farming.
The news comes in the wake of concerns of a global food shortage by the head of the World Bank and United Nations this week.
Venezuela have an oil for beef plan signed with Argentina.
