Latin America ’s largest beef exporter JBS SA (JBSS3.BR) will pay a total of 12.3 million Brazilian reals ($5.6 million) in dividends, the company said Thursday in a statement.

The company said it will pay BRL0.008 per each outstanding share. The payment would be based on share positions as of April 29 and it will pay it on May 8.

On Wednesday, the company’s shares closed up 2.88% at BRL6.41, on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange.
