RECORD EGG EXPORTS.
Egg exports have increased from Brazil by over 400%, for the first 11 months of 2008.
There have been 47.7 million dozen eggs, shipped to the Arab countries alone in the Gulf States and North Africa.
This is part of a broader government plan, in conjunction with the private sector based on the fact that, Brazil has the worlds largest beef exports, consequently making dairy products a new line is not a big transition, there has been an increase of 200% in dairy production in the last 3 years.
Equally being the worlds largest poultry exporter, the eggs are a natural extension of the same business, egg exports are up by 423%.
In the city of Bastos, 500 kilometers from San Paulo, they produce 40% of the country’s poultry, they also produce a staggering 11.9 million eggs every day.
