TAX CONCESSIONS FOR MEAT EXPORTS..

This weeks news that several meat processing companies are either laying off staff or putting staff on paid holidays, has forced the government to make concessions to the meat industry.

The announcement made in San Paulo on Tuesday will allow the export plants to claim tax relief on all purchases for the company and their establishments that are export related.

The fact that Brazilian butchers are in such demand in Europe, where they can triple their salaries, has forced the meat plants to put them on paid holidays rather than making them redundant.

The whole meat industry beef, pork and poultry is in bottom gear with the lack of international export orders, the only vibrant trade is poultry to the Middle East, that is immune to the global recession.
