The head of accounting at JBS-SA Sergio Longo, announced his resignation on Thursday and will leave the company on February 1.

Longo has been an executive with the company since 2003, working as the director of investment relations then the companies Chief Financial Officer.

Joelsley Batista the company president and son of the founder, thanked Longo for always having the companies best interests at heart, in a statement on the company web page.
