Canada-1,500 Pigs killed in farm fire.

1,500 PIGS KILLED IN FIRE.

A fire at a farm on Xmas eve in the town of Hadashville, 80 km from Winnipeg, destroyed a shed and the 1,500 pigs that were inside.

There was no water on the farm and water had to be pumped from the near by river, the delay caused the building to be completely destroyed.

A second blaze at Manitobo, killed 900 pigs in a similar manner.

The damage to each farm is estimated at over half a million dollars.

There was a third blaze in the area on the same day, at Elton, causing the death of seven cattle.

The police say there are no suspicious circumstances in any of the fires, things just seem to happen in threes.
