Carrots travel to the NEC for BBC Good Food Show

This year for the first time, carrots will appear at the BBC Good Food Show at Birmingham's NEC as part of the Red Tractor Stand, promoting British food and farming, from 22nd - 26th November 2006.

It is all part of a new campaign, Great British Carrots, launched this year, with the aim of getting people to crunch more carrots! And now the public can actually speak to the farmers directly, with around a dozen major carrot growers from around the country due to attend the show to help man the stand.

TV chef Rachel Green will be demonstrating lots of delicious recipes using carrots in the Great British Food Theatre every day of the show, creating fantastic dishes such as Pan Fried Turkey with Carrots, Lime and Ginger, Beef Stir Fry with Crispy Carrots and even a quick Carrot Christmas Pudding, which showcase perfectly the versatility of this wonderful root vegetable.
