Cattle market plans approved
PLANS to redevelop the derelict former Cattle Market site in Rugby have been given the go-ahead.
Proposals have been submitted to build new homes, shops and a 72 bedroom hotel on the site in Craven Road.
Councillors approved the plans at a meeting at Rugby town hall on Wednesday.
Councillor Neil Campbell, Cabinet Member for Economy, Development and Culture, said: "It is encouraging that even in the middle of a credit crunch Rugby is still an attrcative location for major investors."
