Charterhouse launch the Multi-one for perfect multi-tasking
Charterhouse Turf Machinery are launching an exciting range of versatile powered work vehicles that can handle a host of grounds care tasks and construction site duties, and which can accept over 40 attachments. Called the Multi-One range, it received it's first UK showing at the Hirex@SED exhibition in Milton Keynes.
The Multi-One line-up offers units with a range of power options, from 18hp petrol up to
50hp diesel engines. Hydrostatic transmission and hydraulic controls are fitted for easy operation, and 4-wheel drive gives sure-footed performance on the roughest terrain. Skid steer models are also available, offering exceptional manoeuvrability and the ability to negotiate gaps as narrow as 76cm (30in) wide.
All Multi-One models can be fitted with a telescopic loader arm that increases the operating height to a maximum 2.71m (8ft 10in) allowing loading at higher levels. The machines are light enough to be transported on a small lorry or a car trailer.
Charterhouse see the Multi-One range as ideal for tasks including loading, carrying, cultivating, post-hole boring, mixing, digging, mowing, rolling, trenching, sweeping and hedge trimming. Director Philip Threadgold believes they will fill a distinct market niche that has emerged. "We have detected that grounds care professionals are increasingly tackling construction tasks in and around the parks and sports grounds they maintain. Similarly, people in the construction industry, and landscapers undertaking 'makeover' projects, require compact, reliable workhorses that are at home in sites with tight access.
The Multi-One range gives the versatility they need, allowing them to achieve genuine multi-tasking capabilities."
