FINAL FIGURES ON FOOD POISONING.

The government of China announced on Monday the final toll on children that were victims of the melamine milk scandal.

There are six people in prison including the CEO of the largest dairy company in China, all could face the death penalty over the sale of contaminated milk.

There were 296,000 children who were taken ill. There were 52,898 children hospitalized

316 babies were kept in hospital for treatment of kidney problems, of which 6 babies died as a result of kidney failure.

The formula milk scandal rocked the world and caused major recalls of chocolate, yougart and formula milk across South East Asia.
