MEAT RING ARRESTED IN CHINA.

The police in China have broken up an illegal meat ring, that are accused of selling contaminated meat on the open market.

The gang were obtaining meat that was found to contain dioxins, similar to the recent pork ban in Ireland and Chile, then retailing vast quantities of this meat to the public.

The gang were captured in Guangzhou city, after a report in the local newspaper, the New Express Daily had run an article on people complaining about meat.

The penalties in China are very severe in such cases and the death penalty is not out of the question, should the men be found guilty.
