PORK GIANT RECORD PROFITS.

Zhongpin Inc, turned in a profit of US$10.1 million for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2008.

The company who are the largest pork producers and processors in China, were very badly hit by the earthquake in May, that devastated the whole of the Chinese rural community.

The company exports to Russia, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea, as well as servicing 3,000 retail outlets.

The company are expanding at an astonishing rate, with the acquisition of farms, opening a new processing plant as well as 35 new retail outlets, all in the third quarter.
