Chippindale Foods shortlisted for National Outstanding Small Business Award

Four companies have been shortlisted for the Morrisons Award for Outstanding Small Business at the IGD Food Industry Awards 2006. The category recognises the important contribution small businesses make in the food industry, and the prize is awarded to an SME that has demonstrated excellence in, for example, local sourcing, innovation, people development or marketing

"Our awards are open to food and non-food companies throughout the industry," says Joanne Denney-Finch, Chief Executive, IGD. "Last year we saw an exciting mix of innovation, achievements and excellent examples of true collaboration. All our finalists are examples of leading edge best practice."

Local company Chippindale Foods from Harrogate has been shortlisted alongside London meal kit company Bighams, sustainable seafood company Johnson and Herefordshire potato chip producers Tyrells.
