Chitty secures meat supply to Nisa-Today’s
Leading meat supplier, Chitty Food Group, has secured a contract to supply a comprehensive range of 28 pre-packed British beef, pork and lamb lines into Nisa- Today's, the independent buying consortium.
The lines sold under the Heritage label and available to all members have the support of a full promotional package including consumer leaflets, shelf features, price reductions and 'extra free'.
Chitty is also supplying a value added range – the Premium Heritage Select label – which includes Lamb Steaks with fresh Rosemary, Pork Loin steaks with Bramley and English Mustard Sauce, and Italian Style Meatballs.
Chitty Food Group's Commercial Director – Nisa-Today's, Emma Chitty, said: "We are delighted to be supplying Nisa-Today's. We have worked hard to produce a range to suit all customer requirements from basic meat cuts to value added lines for the more adventurous shopper."
Quality is of paramount importance to Chitty. The farms who supply Chitty are all farm assured with full traceability and operate to the highest standards. What is more, the company is inspected to the BRC's Global Standard for Food.
Nisa-Today's Trading and Logistics Managing Director, John Sharpe, said: "Chitty is just the right partner for Nisa-Today's. It is a company that believes in quality, has the capacity to supply and above all, is committed to us.
This new range of meat products will extend out meat range and boost our private label portfolio. We also hope it will encourage members to stock a wider range of fresh meats."
The two ranges are packed using controlled atmosphere to ensure freshness. Cases are available in 2 or 4, to reduce wastage.
The Heritage label is in full colour showing landscapes giving a fresh and natural feel to the packaging. It is also colour coded depending on species. "The Heritage Select label's sleeves features a photograph of the cooked product to attract consumers and encourage purchase," commented John Sharpe.
