Clarke and Pulman appointed JCB distributors

Agricultural supplier set for further growth with JCB partnership

Lancashire agricultural equipment supplier Clarke and Pulman is set for further expansion following its appointment as official distributor for JCB within the North West.

It will now offer the full range of JCB agricultural products, including loaders, telehandlers and accessories, as well as providing parts, aftersales support and maintenance.

The new products will complement Clarke and Pulman’s existing range of Massey Ferguson, Fendt and Kuhn equipment. The deal represents an investment of around £300,000 on the part of the business, which was launched in 2003 and now employs 18 people at its site in Burscough, near Ormskirk.

According to managing director Ged Clarke, the company’s growth has largely been achieved by its focus on customer service and innovation. It was the first in the UK to sell parts online when it launched its website www.masseyparts.co.uk two years ago and since then has sold to over 30 different countries. It is currently further developing its internet business with the addition of stores for Fendt and Kuhn parts.

Ged Clarke said: "We are delighted to have secured the partnership with JCB, whose products are renowned within the industry. The agreement is recognition of Clarke and Pulman’s reputation for technical knowledge and customer service and allows us to extend customer choice with the addition of a number of market-leading products. For further customer convenience, we are also planning to make JCB parts and accessories available online within the near future."

The JCB range includes the unique Robot and Compact Loadall with their offset boom designs; the Loadall, the original telescopic handler; the Telemaster with articulated manoeuvrability and visibility; and the Farm Master, known for its loading output.
