John Campbell, the man behind Glenrath Farms, joins an impressive line up of speakers planned for this year's BFREPA conference.
The Glenrath story started in 1961 when Mr Campbell had just 100 hens. Delegates will hear how he has grown that business to it present position of supplying over 1 million eggs every day to major supermarket chains. And that business growth continues for Ranger readers will know that Mr Campbell is behind plans to build the world's largest free range farm.
Adding a truly international flavour to the event are two other top speakers—Austria's Willi Kallhammer and from the USA, Dr Donald McNamara.
Mr Kallhammer is chairman of the International Egg Commission while world-respected Dr McNamara is executive director of the Egg Nutrition Centre in Washington DC.
"These speakers will bring a completely new perspective to the conference, with broader issues brought under the spotlight, including the European free range egg market, how important it is that eggs are marketed for their nutritional value and of course the remarkable Glenrath success story," said Louise Butler, marketing manager for Hy-Line UK which is sponsoring this year's conference.
Crowshall Veterinary Services will once again be holding its popular veterinary workshop at the event, which will take place on Thursday 23 November at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire.
