Cotswold Farm Park lecture at Wittle College
The Essex Agricultural Society welcomed celebrity TV presenter, Adam Henson for a guest lecture hosted at Writtle College near Chelmsford on Wednesday 17 March.
Mr Henson entertained a packed auditorium, giving the audience a lively presentation on his highly successful farming operation, the Cotswold Farm Park in Gloucestershire. As one of the country’s leading rare breed tourist enterprises the farm attracts over 70,000 visitors a year.
Sharing tips of his success in the media alongside running a very varied commercial farming enterprise, Mr Henson underlined the importance of the agricultural industries and said that it is "wonderful news that Writtle College is full and its agricultural courses are expanding".
He went on to talk of the importance of attracting "bright, intelligent people who understand precision technology, marketing and other commercial aspects" in addition to important practical knowledge into the industry and encouraged farmers to "climb onto soapboxes and shout about what an amazing business we have!"
The evening was sponsored by Gepp & Sons solicitors and attracted 150 guests.
