Dairy begs folk to drink local milk

Shetland’s dairy farmers have put out an appeal to island shoppers to drink local milk after seeing their trade drop by 20 per cent in the past six weeks.

Shetland Farm Dairies, which takes milk from six local farms, has had to reduce production by 1,000 litres a day due to the cut in demand.
