Desert farming course delivers jobs

An indigenous horticultural training program in the central desert has been hailed as a success with most of the participants walking into full time employment.

The five month course at Ti Tree research farm, north of Alice Springs, has given 17 Anmatjerre men the skills needed to farm in the region.

Trainee Kim Brown says he hopes to get a job in farming and travel around Australia.
