EBLEX Open Meeting heads to Sedgemoor

Sedgemoor Auction Centre is set to host the South West EBLEX Open Meeting on Monday 20th April 2009, providing three informative activity sessions for attending levy payers.

The evening activity schedule will run from 6.30pm until 9pm, providing an opportunity for producers to catch up on the latest EBLEX activities, and market opportunities for the year ahead.

Guests are invited to arrive from 5.45pm onwards for refreshments and hot beef rolls ahead of a welcome address from the South West Regional Manager Dr. Phil Hadley. The activity sessions will begin with an update on producer marketing and export opportunities.

The second session will cover EBLEX Ltd marketing activity along with a butchery demonstration, and the third session will provide an opportunity to experience the ’Virtual Beef’ and ’Virtual Lamb’ interactive computer programmes developed by EBLEX, as part of the Better Returns Programmes. Farmers will be able to clearly see the appearance of varying fat levels and conformation classes on an animal to aid selection for the marketplace.
