Ex-ministers son to cull 2500 pigs

The family farm of former Fianna Fail junior minister Ned O’Keeffe is facing a cull of its 2,500 pigs after being placed under restriction.

It was one of 10 pig farms in the State which was supplied with contaminated animal feed by the Millstream Power Recycling factory in Wexford.

The farm in Mitchelstown, Co Cork is not allowed to move its estimated 2,500 pigs -- which will have to be destroyed.
