Experienced ruminant specialist stengthens Alltech's UK presence
Animal health and nutrition specialist Alltech has appointed Graeme Smith as southern technical sales manager to strengthen its overall UK presence.
A ruminant specialist with 12 years on-farm feed sales experience, Graeme is a graduate of Harper Adams University College where he achieved a BSc in agriculture, specialising in livestock production.
His responsibilities will include technical and sales support in relation to market leading brands such as Yea-Sacc1026, Bioplex organic minerals, Bio-Mos, Mycosorb and Sil-All forage additives. Graeme will also be closely involved with the re-launch of Alltech's organic selenium supplement Sel-Plex once EU authorisation has been confirmed.
Alltech continues to grow both in domestic markets and globally by providing natural feeding solutions to common livestock production challenges through research-based innovation. The company is typically increasing its turnover at a rate of 20% per year and will achieve a $300 million target in 2005.
Graeme Smith is based near Taunton and will report to Alltech UK managing director Jem Clay.
