Farm Show Targets Beef, Dairy Trade
Anyone measuring the Virginia Farm Show by the size of its crowds is, in the mind of the show's officials, judging a book by its cover.
"The Virginia Farm Show is a targeted market," said Dave Dornburgh, sales representative for Lee Publications, a publication company in Palatine Bridge, N.Y, that specializes in articles on agriculture and construction: Lee Publications' show division puts on the show. "We target dairy and beef cattle farmers. We don't want the guy off the street."
The three-day Virginia Farm Show, which starts Tuesday at Augusta Expo in Fishersville, includes exhibits of farm products and seminars. Augusta Expo is hosting the show for the seventh straight year.
