Farm workers to be paid more

The National Employment Council for the Agricultural Industry has announced new wages for farm workers under which the least paid Grade A1 labourer will earn $390 billion this month, up from the previous $1,5 billion.

THE National Employment Council for the Agricultural Industry has announced new wages for farm workers under which the least paid Grade A1 labourer will earn $390 billion this month, up from the previous $1,5 billion.

This development came after an agreement signed on July 11 between the General Agricultural and Plantation Workers Union of Zimbabwe (Gapwuz) and farmer organisations that include the Zimbabwe Farmers Union (ZFU) and the Zimbabwe Commercial Farmers Union.
