Farmer criticises Govt's water efforts

A Riverland olive farmer has told South Australian Water Security Minister Karlene Maywald that the State Government is not doing enough to help irrigators relying on the Murray River.

Shane Ryan stood up and spoke at a drought response meeting in Renmark yesterday.

He says he has lost his management job at a 340 hectare property because the business cannot survive on 2 per cent allocations.

Mr Ryan says the states must work together to share the Murray water.
