Farmer's bid for new pub, village hall, shop and post office
AN ambitious plan to help restore community life in a quiet North Cornwall village aims to provide its residents with a pub, hall, shop and post office.
Farmer Lyndsay Ellacott says he has already had an 'exceptional' response from the people of Boyton to his application – which he has just submitted to North Cornwall District Council planners.
Mr Ellacott, who runs both Newton Farm and Spraytech, a spraying equipment business based in the village, said: "I am very excited about it – even more so having spoken to people who have given me verbal support. This is a big project."
It is not the first time Mr Ellacott has considered converting property into a pub for the village.
