Farmers expect good corn harvest despite drought

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Despite drought, Indiana farmers are expected to harvest 1 billion bushels of corn this fall, 19 percent more corn than Hoosier farmers grew in 2006.

The expected yield of 158 bushels per acre is down two bushels from the September USDA forecast and up one bushel from last year's 157 bushels per acre.
