Farmers sign for police chief to go
Free State farmers want police management to suspend the head of the Trompsburg police station with immediate effect, Free State Agriculture said on Wednesday.
Louw Steytler, president of Free State Agriculture, said farmers wanted a commission of inquiry into management problems and issues of discipline within the Trompsburg police.
The commercial farmer's body said their request followed a visit to the Trompsburg community after a recent farm attack in which a farm worker was killed and a farmer wounded.
