FINLAND-MINCED BEEF IN DEMAND.

Finnish food industry company Snellman is raising the producer price of beef in Finland by EUR 0.10 per kilo for the period from April to July 2009. The aim is to increase purchases of beef in the short and the long term. Snellman needs more beef for its minced meat campaign. Demand for Snellman’s minced meat has increased by 35% in early 2009. Snellman supplies 170 tonnes of minced meat a week.
