Gannett grant will help young adults to learn farming skills
A Ryedale organisation has come up trumps in its bid to secure a £5,000 grant from the Gannett Foundation.
Acorn Services (North Yorkshire), which is based in Norton and supports young adults with learning disabilities, was one of 186 applicants considered by the foundation’s trustees, which then allocated a total of £330,000 to 47 organisations across the country.
The foundation was set up by Gannett, the American owners of Newsquest, which includes the Gazette & Herald.
