Goodyear trophy stays with the Wittys

As major sponsors of the 55th National Ploughing Championships which took place at Soham, Cambridgeshire this month Goodyear once again presented a Witty with the Goodyear trophy.

Competitors included past and present British, European and World ploughing champions and competition was fierce as ploughmen and women fought for the supreme honour of taking the British National titles and the chance to represent their country in the 2006 World Ploughing Contest.

Simon Witty scooped the Goodyear trophy for reversible ploughing, the third year in a row the Goodyear trophy has been won by a Witty. John Hill picked up the British title for Conventional ploughing, riding on Goodyear tyres. In fact of the 22 tractors in the plough-off at the National Championships 15 were on Goodyear tyres.
