Halal poultry and lamb

Tahira Foods Limited, Europe's most respected brand for Halal products has extended its range of Fresh Poultry and Lamb retail packs into Sainsbury's.

Martin Edwards, Halal Poultry and Lamb buyer at Sainsbury's said 'This is a major strategy change for Sainsbury's from a secondary brand to the brand leader, we are very excited. Since taking up my role I have been talking with many of our ethnic customers to ensure we are catering for their needs. The Tahira Brand came to the forefront with the Muslim consumer as a brand they trust for its quality, authenticity as well as Halal integrity of its products.'

A full range of products are available in store from 19th February, with all of the chicken being produced by Crown Chicken Limited to British Assured Standards and carrying the Red Tractor logo.

The Tahira range covers all areas from chilled to frozen, ambient, sweets and soft drink that are stocked by all major retailers.
