HCC levy to be discussed at NFU Cymru AGM
Farmers are encouraged to attend and give their views on Hybu Cig Cymru’s – Meat Promotion Wales’ levy increase proposals at Ceredigion’s NFU Cymru Annual General Meeting.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, 2 December 2010, at the Feathers Royal Hotel, Aberaeron, Ceredigion, at 7.30pm.
Those present will have the opportunity to have their say on HCC’s proposals to increase the levy collected on cattle, calves, sheep and pigs. A representative from HCC will also be present to answer any questions regarding the levy increase.
Also in attendance on the night will be NFU Cymru Deputy President, Stephen James, who will discuss some of the current policy issues within the industry including Glastir, Bovine TB and CAP Reform post 2013.
Dai Evans, Ceredigion NFU Cymru County Chairman, said, "It is vital that we have the views of our members on HCC levy’s so I do hope we will get a good turnout. Please also encourage your friends and neighbours to come along."
