HGCA director addresses NFU arable meeting

Rebecca Geraghty, Director of HGCA, will address NFU Cymru’s annual south east Wales Arable meeting on Tuesday, 16 November 2010.

Commencing at 7.30pm at the Legacy Cardiff International Hotel, Cardiff, Rebecca Geraghty will present the findings of HGCA’s Research Strategy Review covering recent funding projects and its priority areas for the future.

Guy Gagen, NFU Chief Combinable Crops Adviser will also be in attendance to discuss the latest global market price and supply situation. NFU Cymru’s Combinable Crops working group Chairman, Perkin Evans, will also be present.

Stella Owen, NFU Cymru’s Farm Policy Adviser said, "This meeting will be valuable to arable farmers following the challenging season we’ve just had, which appears to have affected cereal crops at a local and global level.

"I do hope we will get a good turnout. Please also encourage your friends and neighbours to come along."
