Hong Kong-Easing of meat and poultry import restrictions.

The Centre for Food Safety today resumed the processing of applications for importing poultry and poultry products from central-western Thailand.

The centre suspended the processing of applications following confirmation of an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 on a poultry farm there in November.

The restrictions were lifted in January for the country except the central-west part.
