NEW GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCEE FOR FARMERS.
India today is one of the top five beef exporters in the world, as beef consumption in the country is very low for religious reasons, unlike Argentina where 80% of production is consumed on the domestic market.
The government have been setting new guidelines in recent years, to make the industry more accountable and tax incentives for exports.
The latest government scheme is cattle insurance for farmers, care of the government the farmers can insure against accident or disease at reduced 50% subsidized premiums, which in fact as well as a safeguard for the farmer is revenue for the government, to feed back into the beef industry.
