NEW MEAT AND POULTRY BOARD.

As India takes its place as an emerging economy, it is now recognized as the worlds third largest exporter of beef and buffalo meat.

The government has decided to set up a new meat and poultry board to regulate the industry and promote the benefits of Indian product.

The board will be autonomous and while initially set up with the help of the government, it will eventually be operated and financed by the meat industry.
