Iraq-Poultry trade booms again.
IRAQ.
POULTRY TRADE RESUMES.
The US Grains Council ( USCG) and the Iraq Poultry Fund (IPF) are working in concert to re-build the poultry industry of Iraq that has been dormant for several years.
Babylon Province, is now becoming a major player again in the breeding and processing of chicken meat.
The region is now producing close to 80 tons of poultry per day, and is the main supplier to Baghdad and the south of the country, according to USCG chief Ken Hobble.
This is a win, win situation, as it helps the US in the sale of grain and Iraq farmers to earn a good living again.
